Short Stories by Amos Emmanuel

In 1994, Mr. Amos Emmanuel, a young man from Daffo, came to me with a notebook of handwritten stories in Ron. I typed them up, but unfortunately I later lost the English translations and I also didn’t tape-record them. Still, I think it will be nice to publish them. So here is a first trial version of the whole collection.

I hope the people who still speak the language will be able to read this fine specimen of Ron Literature and will enjoy it. I also hope that more young people like Amos will start writing down stories and other samples of literature. Don’t stop using your language, teach it to your children and make it last!

Today is Amos’ birthday. May he enjoy it and live to see many more happy birthdays in the years to come!
